HOW MANY TIMES
can one man hear,
"you know? There is an
old story..." before you
turned a deaf ear?
HOW MANY TIMES
can one listen to,
"I am here today to
apologize for my..."
something we all knew!
HOW MANY TIMES
before one man dies
must he listen to so many
lies? Answer is lost some
where in the tears he cries!
HOW MANY TIMES
have you heard, "let ME
make this perfectly clear!"
Then speaks only good news
wrapped in seductive fear!
HOW MANY TIMES
have you heard "what ever
happened to good old....."
HOW MANY TIMES
have you looked back to your
youth when allowing self
to be bold?
HOW MANY TIMES
have you dreamed of yourself
all decked out in gold? Later
coming in out of the cold?
HOW MANT TIMES
have you asked yourself, "when
will I have enough of being told?"
There is no answer my friend,
In the wind I let it all slip away,
so that tomorrow will be day.
Day I again get to go out and play!
