HEY MR. TAMBOURINE MAN
who wrote that song for us,
made all get on that bus,
to go out in world to make a fuss!
HEY MR. TAMBOURINE MAN
told baby boomers to take a stand,
do more than watch marching band
and be proud of our land. We went
out into changing world like we had
some kind of plan and now generation
don't give a damn, retirement not as
planned. EXPECTATIONS ON DEMAND!
This is mine not Alice's place is new
way and real disgrace. Looking other way
has replaced looking after your brother.....
Life inconvenienced by 90 year old mother
who must lay awake so no one can smother!
HEY MR. TAMBOURINE MAN
Alice's kids have lost their way,
so many without place to stay
and The Man never goes away!
Should the meek keep on clawing
while $5,000 ticket holders are roaring
and price of life keeps on soaring and
look at your kids adoring...........
HEY MR. TAMBOURINE MAN
happy birthday this week to you,
have you got shot for flu and are
you the one over cuckoo nest flew?
HEY MR. TAMBOURINE MAN
more time behind than ahead,
of death do you dread or
from this world happy to have fled?
Life has become more convenient
but not better, for you no scarlet letter
and like me never a regret.............
Did not take life as it was set.
oh so many you upset and never
looked or sang to forget.................
Barry McChangky QUACK!
