Thanksgiving Day
and Korea is daily news,
not what one would read
in pews.
Back in nineteen sixty four
I was in Korea and Korea
was not at war, where for
Thanksgiving was enough
mpc for monthly whore!
Real turkey for sure!
When looking back good
times one does not ignore.
For dinner on Thanksgiving
in nineteen sixty five was
enough c-rats to stay alive!
Me and Viet Nam coming to
you live! Week before at battle
of Ap Bau Bang did survive.
Right after I did arrive.
Thanksgiving dinner in year of
nineteen sixty six and another
in the field c-rat meal! Ain't
nothing! Ain't no big deal!
Today! That is how I feel!
No time to forget there is a
war going on out there..........
